Maple Syrup Container/Barrel - Interior

Note original, large drainage plug at bottom of barrel. Barrel is fashioned from a single, hollowed-out piece of wood (treen), surrounded by five wooden rings with finger lapse fasteners. Barrel is tapered at top (12.5" at top, 14.5" at bottom) and has half inch thick walls. Not visible in the photo is the noticeably sticky residue on the inside!
