I have been collecting 18th and early 19th century American antiques for twenty years.  My wife and I have a home in New England and lived for several years in the Philadelphia area, and have acquired many items in our collection from these history-rich locations. 

 

I learned early in my experiences to identify knowledgeable and trustworthy dealers who specialize in the painted furniture and boxes, stoneware and redware, quilts, samplers and smalls that my wife and I treasure.  I have scrupulously limited my acquisitions to those gained through such credible sources.
